Primal Era - Boko Saat and the Oasis, I
In time passed the great demigod Sartem Kur bore two sons, Saat Kaar and Boko Saat, their names meant Born First, and Second Born. They were beloved, and raised as equals in his domain, yet Sartem Kur took precautions to guard his sons from ruin, as he knew what temptation existed in their realm. Sartem Kur stripped all emotions away from his sons, leaving them only able to feel their father's love for them.
Forced into this tranquility the sons sought to understand their place in the world at their father's side, for that had been created for a reason, and did not know why yet. Boko Saat, the second son, joined his father in meditation in the pools of reflection, walked with him in the halls of unheard voices, and in his quiet moments of solitude contemplated that which he was, was not, could be, and could not be. For this, his father loved him best.
Sartem Kur favored Boko Saat, and taught his second son that in all things there was balance, that in all existence there was exchange. One must give up anger to know love, one must tell truth to hear truth, one must give life to protect life, and so long as this balance is kept all things will be as intended.
With nothing more to learn from his father, Boko Saat traveled the mortal domains for a time and studied the lesser men, seeking to understand how they exchanged with their world. To his surprise and dismay he found that many men simply took as they pleased, and gave nothing back.
One day as Boko Saat traveled the dry and sandy wastes of the northern desert he came upon a massive beast that poachers had taken down. As the beast lay in the sands, bleeding and suffering Boko Saat looked upon it with sadness and rage for its hunters had only carved away its eyes and tusks, leaving it blind and dying in the wasteland. Boko Saat saw the creature dying, and gave it back to the earth.
In primal ritual he slew and slaughtered the beast, watering the earth with its blood, scattering its remains to feed the scavengers, and and burying its vital organs deep within the sand. With the sand red with the beast's lifeblood he drew symbols of his father's power, and in an instant the earth bloomed. Sand turned black and rich, grass sprung from it, and trees reached into the sky, giving shade. Where the beast had first fallen formed a great, deep pool of cold water. Boko Saat looked upon this new oasis, and was satisfied.
